Night village card

Hello there, crafty friends!
Today I'd like to share with you a card I made some time ago and even taught classes in Moscow in April showing how to make this card.

Talking about the supply list:
The fox stamp - Hero Arts -Winter Time Fun
Dandelion stamps - Scrapberry's -Wind of Travel
Sentiment stamp - Cas-ual Fridays -Powerful Words
House border die - Agiart -Little Village Houses ( designed by me)
Dry watercolor powder  - Fabrika Decoru - Magic Paints.

To make this background I covered the entire watercolor panel with water, diluted a bit of powder of each color with water on an acrylic block and made colorful puddles, watching the color to move. Let it dry, then sprinkled with white paint to imitate stars. The stamping on top was made with black Archival ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Polar bears | Holiday cards

Hello there, crafty friends!
Hope you had wonderful holidays, our Christmas is still ahead but we had wonderful New Year holiday. Very festive, very family-sh so to speak)) I really like these holidays even when they go not according to your plans. I still learn to adjust myself to new conditions when that happens. But still this break was good enough. I don't have brand new cards but I have new that i did before holidays and didn't have a chance to share.

I think I had this Polar Bear Pals stamp set by MFT forever but didn't use for some reason ( i still have some unpacked stamps, can't believe it myself). Even though I'm a colorist and love coloring to pieces I was really glad that these bears could be colored with minimum effort. I only gave dimension to the fur and colored small details using Chameleon pens.

Using my thin black liner I made the scarfs "knitted", really like this effect.

For the background i used the circle I made awhile ago when i experimented with my watercolor paints and die cut it in half with Snowy Drifts dies by Hero Arts for two cards. The sentiment is by So Suzy stamps called Spirit of Christmas . I love the way it's narrow and long.

For the second card I used the same stamp set, they same supplies but added speech bubbles I made myself.

This card is really dimensional, I popped up the iceberg, speech bubbles and then the top bear.

These cards are very small, measuring just 7x10 cm. I'm completely in love with small and cute cards, they shouldn't be wall panel size to be cute :)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

Holiday Village | Christmas card

Hello there!
I hope you heart is filled with love, happiness and gratitude towards your family and loved ones. Don't waste your happy moments they may not come back. May this upcoming year will be very happy to you!
And a Christmas card from me again to inspire you to make something special to your fave people :)

I really love this card, not only because it has lots of houses but because these houses dies are of my design :) yes. I drew them for one Russian brand Agiart  - Village Houses and happy about the result. See that tiny dog house? :)

I made the background with my Qor, Decadent Pies by Prima and powder watercolor sets. Stamped the sentiment that said " May the holiday be merry and the year be happy" in Russian. Die cut the houses out of black cardstock, colored the windows with Chameleon pens to make them glow and splattered with white acrylic paint.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a magical day!

Day 13| Holiday card Series 2017 ft So Suzy Stamps

Hello there, lovelies!

How are you? I'm very excited to share with you my card #13 of the Holiday card series 2017 featuring So Suzy stamps. This card is all about gold heat embossing and watercoloring.

I used:
Poinsettia stamp by So Suzy
Pinecone Sm by So Suzy
Merry Christmas brush ( sentiment) stamp by So Suzy

I stamped the Poinsettia  and the Pinecone Sm several times onto watercolor paper using Emboss It clear ink by Ranger and heat embossed it gold. For coloring I used Prima Decadent Pies confections watercolors.

I cut apart all the pieces of the Poinsettia to have leaces and flowers separately. I also cut all the flowers in half and arranged all the elements in circle. The next step was to die cut a circle and heat emboss the sentiment.

👉💓 Take part in my Holiday card series marathon: just make any Christmas card you like ( maybe inspired by my cards), tag me @olesya_kharkova on Instagram and use hashtag #holidaycards_olesyakharkova. Halloween card

Hello there!
It's officaially my last halloween card this year and this one went to my husband yesterday. I love making card for him especially with different cute images and what is more important he loves these cards, no gears and muddy cards with cars or smth "man" theme ( I don't understand muddy cards) but with critters and funny images. To tell you a secret he agreed to make a card with me like a mini individual class :)) It will be funny!

I made this card using  Bowl / Globe & Cork stamp by So Suzy stamps ( of my design), Booyah set by Lawn Fawn. Colored the ghosts with very cheap watercolor pencils (i bought them long time ago when i just started coloring) and I'm pleased with the result. That was a challenge for myself to prove that only practice made sense not materials should be on the first place.

Now to the funniest part: i wanted to make a bubbling cauldron, for that I used Morning Dew Nuvo drops  on the back side of the cauldron right on the acetate and sprinkled it with green powder watercolor, the drops were wet and reacted with watercolor powder perfectly. Put it aside to dry completely ( it took an hour or so) and then filled the shaker with green dry glitter.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a funny day with a chance to smile!

Glitter polka dot background

Hello there!
I know you like glitter as much as I do and ready to sparkle all day:)) So today I'd like to share with you a card made with my fave glitter paste so far by Bo Bunny called Sugar. It's clear with holographic super tiny sparkling elements. Looks just awesome!

Materials used:
- Chipped Sapphire Distress ink
- Monarch ( butterfly stamp) by So Suzy stamps (designed by me:)
- Lots of Love stickable stencil by Bo Bunny
- Gold super fine embossing powder by Ranger
- dry powder paints Magic paints by Fabrika Decoru
- white gel pen
-white cardstock

First I sponged distress inks , sprinkled with water and let them dry. Using Sugar glitter paste is a true pleasure as it applies magically and dries super fast so make sure you clean all the supplies immediately. The stickable stencil helps to make your pattern super neat.

I heat embossed my butterfly in gold onto watercolor paper and using Magic paints ( similar to watercolor but in powder) and waterbrush colored the butterfly in. Wanted to make her galaxy looking :)

I cut one butterfly in half so that the card could open and placed another one right behind it.

Here's how the paste and stencil look like. Super cool stuff!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome day!

Dashing through the snow

Hello my crafty friends,
I'm still making winter cards, a bit tired of them but have some dear people I want to send Christmas cards to. This card I've made for Lawnscaping Challenge - Watercoloring. Love this blog very much as much as Lawn Fawn stamps.

This amazing tree is a rubber stamp from our Russian company Mr Painter was a great find for me. I have been looking for a beautiful realistic tree stamp for a long time and finally here it is. Yay!

For creating this card I used: Chipped Sapphire/ Peacock Feathers/ Tumbled Glass/ Black Soot distress inks + lots of water, white gel pen and white acrylic paint for snow, white (Ranger super fine) heat embossing for the tree and snowflakes (Making Frosty Friends - Lawn Fawn). Colored the bunny ( Winter Bunny - Lawn Fawn) with Artiste watercolor markers and covered the tree and snowflakes with glitter glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!( or nighty night for some areas:)
Olesya.

To the Moon Altenew

Hello, my crafty friends!
Вчера я получила свой заказ с луной от Altenew - To the Moon.
Yesterday I got my order with Altenew To the Moon stamp set. I'm so happy to have it in my stash.
It fits either cartoony cards which I love to make and more serious ones. Yesterday I was so involved in playing with this stamp set so didn't notice that it was late late at night (3 a.m.)
This galaxy background I made several months ago and it was waiting for a proper time to be used. It was made with some gouache, acrylic paint, distress inks. distress refills and pigment inks.
This card is not for some challenge or occasion I've made it simply because :) for my hubby.
I stamped the moon with only one ink pad:  Watering Can Archival inks.
It was not easy to work with the moon from the very first attempt but very soon I coped with it. I took the solid moon and made a second generation stamping with that grey inks, then the same with that detailed stamp and lastly the stamp with deep craters but with Watering can inks -first generation stamping. The stars- are splatters with white acrylic paint and white gel pen on top.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a nice day!

Watercolor flowers/

Hello there!
Yesterday was the 1st day of a new challenge at our blog Sunduchok Idej - Watercolor flowers. You can draw them yourself or make an imitation of them. This summer is full of different experiments in my crafty space. I've tried a lot of different techniques, materials and so much left to do. Happy happy happy :)
For this particular challenge I've drawn the flowers myself. It's my 1st try to draw directly on paper with watercolor paints. Turned out cool:) The berries I covered with glossy accents. The sentiment says Be happy every single second. The background was sponged with Antique Linen Distress Inks and stamped here and there with Hessian background stamp from Kaisercraft. See some white spots on the background? - some waterdrops which grab some color- Love this technique :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day!
