Abstract Spring ft So Suzy Stamps

Hello there!
So glad you joined me today to see what I made with So Suzy Stamps. The theme of this month is Flowers and Spring and the technique is Stenciling. I wanted to step aside from usual conception and would like to show you my abstract spring.

For this particular card I used this amazing butterfly stamp  - Fancy Butterfly by So Suzy Stamps.
And here are the step out instructions:

I like to make my own stencils. To create it I printed out the image I'd like to cut and covered with a piece of thick acetate. To prevent it from moving I fixed it with some washi tape.

Using my kraft knife I cut out all the triangle peices.

Now I prefer making small cards measing 10x10cm. So I took a panel (9x9cm) and die cut with a stitched square die. Then sponged Black Soot distress ink through my diy stencil. I also colored the flower outline die cut with a black marker tp match the whole design.

To get a softer look, not so agressive, I used Perfect Pearls in Pink Gumball by Ranger to color the flower here and there and to add some splatters to the background.

And here's that gorgeous butterfly which I stamped with Jet Black Archival ink on vellum and then heat embossed with clear super fine embossing powder by Ranger and cut it out with my scissors.

Using my Micron super fine 0,05 black liner I outlined the triangles as well as the splatters. Love this look. I printed out the sentiment and placed it on top of my cluster with some foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a day full of inspiration!
